ScanServe is a QR menu and table-ordering service for restaurants. This page explains what information we handle and why. If you have any question, contact us at .
Information we collect
Restaurant owners and staff: your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never in plain text), your restaurant name, menu items, prices, photos, logo, UPI ID and WhatsApp number that you choose to add.
Guests who scan a QR code: the table number, the items ordered, and the optional name or note you type when placing an order. We do not ask guests to create an account.
On your device: we use your browser's local storage to keep you logged in (owners) and to remember your cart and current order (guests). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To show the menu and deliver orders to the restaurant.
- To let owners manage their menu, tables, orders and plan.
- To contact owners about their account, plan or support requests.
We do not sell personal information.
Payments
ScanServe does not collect or process guest food payments. When a guest chooses to pay by UPI, the payment goes directly from the guest to the restaurant's own UPI account. Subscription fees for ScanServe plans are paid to us directly by UPI or bank transfer.
Where information is stored and who sees it
Data is stored with our cloud database and hosting providers, who process it only to run the service. An order is visible to the restaurant it was placed with. We may disclose information if required by law.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep restaurant and order data while the account is active. Owners can ask us to delete their account and data at any time by contacting us.
Security
Access to each restaurant's data is restricted so that only its owner can see its orders and settings. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
